Summary
In plain words, and not part of these Terms. This is the summary presented when you accept.
- You are signing up for a Hoopstr Card accessed via go.hoopstr.ai.
- We respect your privacy. We use your contact to reach out based on your opt-ins, and to share offers you may like.
- An offer can change or be withdrawn at any time, without reason. We hold no liability for it.
- Each offer has its own terms, set by the partner. Read them before you claim.

1.10Words in the singular include the plural and vice versa. Headings are for convenience and do not affect construction.
2.Acceptance and application
2.1By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. Where the Platform requires you to signify acceptance before proceeding, that acceptance is recorded together with the date and time on which it was given.
2.2These Terms are to be read with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, each of which forms part of this agreement.
2.3The summary at the head of this page is provided for convenience only and does not form part of these Terms. In the event of any inconsistency between that summary and the clauses below, the clauses below prevail.
2.4If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
3.Eligibility and Account
3.1The Services are intended for the alumni, students and members of the Networks with which the Company works. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you use the Services with the consent of a parent or guardian, and that you are competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
3.2Your mobile number constitutes your identity for the purposes of the Services. An Account is created upon verification of that number, by means of a message sent by you to the Company over WhatsApp or a one-time code sent to you and entered by you.
3.3You are responsible for maintaining control of the mobile number associated with your Account and for all activity carried out through your Account. Any person able to receive messages on that number is able to access the Account, and the Company is not able to distinguish such a person from you. You must notify the Company promptly upon losing control of that number.
3.4One Account is permitted per mobile number, and the Account is personal to you. You must not register a number you are not entitled to use, nor access the Services on another person’s behalf without authority.
3.5You must provide information that is true and complete and must keep it current. The Company may decline to issue a Member Card, or may suspend an Account, where information provided is found to be false.
4.Communications
4.1You consent to the Company contacting you on the mobile number and, where provided, the email address associated with your Account, for the purposes of authenticating your access; issuing and supporting your Member Card; administering an Offer or event in relation to which you have taken an action; and informing you of Offers that may be of interest to you.
4.2Communications falling within the final limb of clause 4.1 are optional, and you may withdraw your consent to them at any time by replying to any such message or by writing to the Company. Communications necessary to the operation of the Services, including authentication codes and notices concerning an action you have taken, continue for so long as your Account remains open.
4.3Messages are delivered over WhatsApp through a third-party business messaging provider. The Company bears no liability for any failure, delay or non-delivery attributable to that provider, to WhatsApp, or to your network operator or device.
4.4The Company does not sell, rent or otherwise make available your mobile number to any third party for that party’s own marketing.
5.Member Card
5.1A Member Card is issued in respect of a Network to which you belong and evidences that membership only. It is not proof of identity, and confers no right other than access to the Offers for which it makes you eligible.
5.2A Member Card is personal to you and is not transferable. You must not permit any other person to use it.
5.3The Company may suspend, deactivate or withdraw a Member Card where the Network so requests, where you cease to belong to that Network, where the card is used in breach of these Terms, or where required by law.
6.Offers and Rewards
6.1Each Offer is made available by the Partner identified in respect of it and is subject to that Partner’s own terms and conditions, published with the Offer. You must read those terms before claiming or applying for an Offer.
6.2The Company acts solely as a facilitator in presenting Offers. It is not the seller, supplier or provider of the goods, services or memberships to which an Offer relates, is not a party to any contract arising from your use of an Offer, and receives no part of any consideration paid by you to a Partner.
6.3All liability in respect of an Offer rests with the Partner making it. This includes liability for the honouring of a code or approval, the availability, quality, description, fitness or safety of what is supplied, any pricing or taxation, any refund or cancellation, and any deficiency in service. Any claim in respect of an Offer is to be brought against that Partner, and the Company is not liable for it.
6.4An Offer may be varied, suspended or withdrawn at any time and without assigning any reason, by the Partner or by the Company, including after it has been displayed to you and before it is claimed. No Offer constitutes a representation that it will remain available. Where you hold a code or an approved application, honouring it is the responsibility of the Partner.
6.5Eligibility for an Offer may be restricted by Network, by location or otherwise, and the number of times an Offer may be claimed may be limited. Any attempt to claim an Offer for which you are not eligible, or to circumvent such a limit, constitutes a breach of clause 9.
7.Events, registration and event fees
7.1Registration for an event constitutes a request to attend, confirmed either upon submission or upon approval by the organiser of that event, as the listing specifies.
7.2An event listed through the Services is organised, conducted and controlled by its organiser and not by the Company, save where the Company is expressly named as the organiser.
7.3Where an event carries a fee, that fee is payable to and collected by the organiser. Payment is arranged directly between you and the organiser by the means stated in the listing. The Company does not receive, hold, process or remit that payment. Particulars of payment that you provide are recorded only so that the organiser may reconcile them against its own records, and the recording of those particulars is not an acknowledgement by the Company that any sum has been received.
7.4All liability in respect of an event and its fee rests with the organiser. This includes liability for the conduct and content of the event, for its variation, rescheduling or cancellation, for any refund of a fee, for the venue and for the safety of attendees. Any claim in respect of an event or a fee paid for it is to be brought against that organiser, and the Company is not liable for it.
7.5Where you register another person as a guest, you confirm that you are authorised by that person to provide their particulars to the Company and to the organiser for that purpose.
8.Enquiries
8.1Where you submit an enquiry through the Platform, you authorise the Company and, where the enquiry concerns a Partner, that Partner, to contact you in respect of it using the particulars you provide.
8.2Submission of an enquiry creates no obligation on the Company or on any Partner to provide any service, quotation or Offer.
9.Acceptable use
9.1You must not access or attempt to access any Account other than your own; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Platform; circumvent any rate limit, eligibility rule or other restriction; extract data from the Platform by automated means; or interfere with the operation of the Services.
9.2You must not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, nor in a manner that infringes the rights of any other person.
9.3The Company may suspend or terminate access where it reasonably considers this clause to have been breached, and may report conduct to the appropriate authority.
10.Intellectual property
10.1The Platform, its content, design and underlying software, and the Hoopstr name and marks, are the property of the Company or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any right in them to you.
10.2The names, marks and materials of a Partner or a Network are the property of that party and are displayed under licence. You must not reproduce, adapt or use them.
10.3You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Platform for the purposes for which it is provided.
10.4You must not hold yourself out as the Company, as a Partner, or as authorised by either.
11.Third-party websites
11.1The Platform links to websites operated by Partners and others. Those websites are not under the Company’s control and are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not constitute an endorsement.
11.2The Company bears no liability for the content of, or for any dealing you have with, any such website.
12.Variation and discontinuation of the Services
12.1The Company may add to, vary, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, including any Offer, category of event, or the Member Cards issued in respect of a Network.
12.2Where such a change withdraws something you hold at the time, the Company will give notice of it by a reasonable means.
13.Disclaimers
13.1The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, the Company excludes all warranties, express or implied, including as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13.2The Company does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free from error, nor that any particular Offer, Member Card or event will continue to be available.
14.Limitation of liability
14.1To the extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, nor for any loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, howsoever arising.
14.2Without prejudice to clauses 6.3 and 7.4, the Company shall not be liable for any loss arising from an Offer, from an event, from any fee paid to a Partner or organiser, or from the act or omission of a Partner, an organiser or any other third party.
14.3The aggregate liability of the Company in respect of all claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount, if any, actually paid by you to the Company for the Services in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
14.4Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15.Indemnity
15.1You shall indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its directors, officers and employees against any claim, demand, loss, liability, penalty or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your provision of another person’s particulars without that person’s authority.
16.Force majeure
16.1Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including failure of telecommunications or power, failure of a third-party provider, strike, epidemic, natural event, or act of government.
16.2Where such an event is temporary, performance of the affected obligation is suspended for its duration rather than discharged.
17.Suspension and termination
17.1You may close your Account at any time by writing to the Company, upon which the Company will delete the data it holds in respect of you, save for records it is required to retain by law and entries in its audit log.
17.2The Company may suspend or terminate an Account, with notice where practicable, on breach of these Terms, on the instruction of a Network in respect of a Member Card, or where required by law.
17.3Clauses 6.3, 7.4, 10, 13, 14, 15 and 21 survive termination.
18.Data protection
18.1Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, which sets out the particulars collected, the purposes of processing, the parties with whom data is shared, and the rights available to you under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
18.2You may withdraw consent to processing in the manner stated in the Privacy Policy. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out, and withdrawal in respect of the mobile number entails closure of the Account.
19.Grievance redressal
19.1Any grievance concerning the Services, or concerning the processing of your personal data, may be addressed to Jaipal Reddy, Data Protection Officer, at jaipal@coherendz.com.
19.2A grievance will be acknowledged within forty-eight hours of receipt and the Company will endeavour to resolve it within thirty days. Where a grievance concerns a matter within a Partner’s or an organiser’s control, the Company will say so and identify the party to be approached.
20.Amendment of these Terms
20.1The Company may amend these Terms. The date of the current version appears at the head of this page, and continued use of the Services after an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
20.2Where an amendment is material, the Company may require acceptance of the amended Terms before further use of the Services.
21.General
21.1If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be read as narrowly as necessary to give it effect, and the remaining provisions continue in force.
21.2A failure or delay by the Company in exercising a right under these Terms does not operate as a waiver of that right.
21.3The Company may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms, including in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of business. You may not assign yours.
21.4These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company in respect of the Services and supersede any prior understanding.
21.5Notices to the Company may be given at the address stated at the foot of this page. Notices to you may be given to the mobile number or email address associated with your Account.
22.Governing law and jurisdiction
22.1These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
22.2The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms.
